An Ocean of Consciousness

Conceptual impressions surrounding this post have yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument or network. Objective: To generate symbolic links between scientific discovery, design awareness and consciousness.

Design Hypothesis:

Consciousness is conceptual, illusional, symbolic metaphoric and virtual in character. Consciousness is the quintessential archetype. Consciousness is the concomitant consequence associated with a range of multidimensional patterns of energy whose origin rests beyond the subconscious.

Awareness brings forward a “sense of consciousness” by fostering correspondences and fusing the concepts of meaning and purpose. Metaphysical in content and context, quantum, fractal and holographic in representation, all forms of energy/Life are revealed and made apparent by means of Design. Design is lovingly veiled in all that can be seen, known, measured and/or felt. (12.10.2022)

Design describes a metaphysical and multidimensional process. The design process is dependent upon knowledge, understanding, intention, intuition, imagination and awareness. Design creates a network of energy in motion (EIM) between fields/states/points/agents and patterns of awareness. Design creates a virtual, symbiotic and metaphoric lattice between consciousness, the subconscious and the unconscious, the tangible and the intangible, the known and the unknown, the seen and the unseen. All forms of energy in motion are based upon principles of meaning and purpose both felt and understood. (01.13.2023)

Energy in motion makes waves. Energy in motion is forever moving, flowing and changing. Energy in motion creates waves upon and within an ocean of consciousness. Energy in motion creates currents, waveforms and impressions upon and within all of consciousness. Some of these impressions are seen (waves) others remain unseen (currents).

All forms of energy in motion affect our conscious ocean from the winds moving upon its surface to the undercurrents hidden below. Flowing currents harbor Life's consubstantial origins. Awareness runs deep within our soul, characteristically felt but rarely measured.

Disturbances and impressions originate from visible and invisible sources and re-sources. Energy in motion is defined from within a quantum ocean of virtual potential (QFVPP) where the concept of a Universal Consciousness/Intelligence divulges no border, limitation or constraint.

“We lean forward in the seat of our soul trying to see thru all the planetary fluctuations. We drift into unchartered waters thru an ocean of verbal wreckage. As regeneration increases in thrust for the human race, movement forward is vital. By standing still for any amount of time in thought or deed, one may get waterlogged in the dimensional bog.”
Gillian MacBeth-Louthan

The interface between the ocean and the wind can be chaotic and turbulent at times. Discernment as to the cause of these events are interpreted within the mind’s eye of the observer. Turbulence forms droplets of energy sprayed into the realm of the unconscious. We strive throughout life to ride these waves, feel their buoyancy and resist their undercurrents by virtue of experience. We integrate our experiences into bundles of awareness by means of symbol and metaphor, in effect we create a personal network of energy in 3D space and time for the simple sake of survival. Only by design are we able to discover, distinguish, integrate and transform what is known with the unknown.  Our thoughts and feelings are made apparent by virtue of what we create for both us and others. Our subconscious creates a membranaceous layer between the known and the unknown and is instrumental in adapting to the turbulence of change.

Deep waters and surface waters flow together.

Fragmentation implies separation. Dualism creates the blueprint for inventiveness, innovation, inspiration, artistry, vision, enterprise, originality, initiative, individuality and creativity. Dualism creates attention (a-tension) attracting observation, focus and exploration through symbolic means. It is at this transcendent level of awareness where the circumstance becomes apparent that design, in the form of signs, symbols and metaphor, become the symbolic language of both the visible and invisible, the measurable and immeasurable, consciousness and a quantum consciousness.

Energy in motion - change emerges as result of these observations. Observations become “realized” by virtue of coherent resonance, i.e. attractions made apparent in the process of executing a particular language designed and felt most appropriate for the situation.

The exercise of focusing creates a field of its own while whirling about a central point of attraction or interest like a moth around a flame. * Correspondences share frequencies, i.e. rates of occurrence, with other comparable forms of energy in motion (EIM). These recurrent events are experienced every moment and are forever changing.

* The collective consciousness is likewise subjugated to subdivisions within itself. Every frequency creates and describes a wave of consciousness. All is change/energy.

Likened to water, consciousness flows, collects, evaporates, spirals, becomes stagnant, etc. and always changing at all levels of awareness. Energy in motion - change, describes the source of all creation, every pattern of coherence into its variety of forms, arrangements, systems, states and networks of similar or comparable characteristics.

The source of creation is an eternally changing impulse made apparent in the form of a countless number of other forces that when observed together gives credence to that which cannot be described.

Not all correspondences are made apparent; some are more tangible than others; yet together they give precedence to a universe of conscious awareness.

This text provides a rich, multifaceted exploration of consciousness, energy, and change. To expand upon and refine the themes of psychology, semiotics, design theory, metaphysics, and quantum theory, we can engage with the text’s underlying concepts more systematically while maintaining its philosophical and poetic nature. Below is a refined and expanded version, with each of these domains interwoven to create a more robust academic discourse.

Refinement and Expansion:

Energy in motion constitutes the fundamental principle from which all observable phenomena in both the material and immaterial realms emerge. Energy, as a dynamic force, is never static—it perpetually moves, flows, and transforms. This perpetual motion is not merely a physical phenomenon, but also a metaphysical and psychological one, shaping the very fabric of consciousness itself. This interaction of energy and consciousness, akin to waves upon an ocean, represents the coherent dynamic between the known and unknown, the seen and unseen, the conscious and unconscious

In the psychological and semiotic sense, these "waves" and "currents" within the ocean of consciousness act as both symbolic representations and psychic structures. Some are readily apparent to the conscious mind—these are the "waves" we experience directly in our waking reality. Others remain deeper, submerged within the unconscious—these "currents" influence our perceptions, thoughts, and actions in ways we may not immediately recognize. Thus, the ocean of consciousness can be interpreted both as a cognitive and semiotic space, where symbols (signs, metaphors) serve as the primary means through which we interpret, navigate, and express our reality

Within this context, energy in motion is not merely a physical phenomenon but an ongoing symbolic process by which our experiences are translated into meaning. These experiences, or impressions, are encoded within both individual and collective systems of signs, shaping the way we design our world. Whether through symbolic language or metaphor, energy in motion operates through the medium of signs to both reflect and construct our perception of reality.

The metaphysical implications of this interaction are profound: energy in motion can be seen as a manifestation of an eternal, ever-changing force—perhaps best understood as a quantum field of potential. The quantum view suggests that energy, and by extension consciousness, exists within an ocean of virtual potential, wherein every possible state of being and every possible wavefunction exists simultaneously, awaiting observation to collapse into a specific reality. This quantum ocean serves as the stage upon which the drama of conscious experience unfolds, each wave of experience an individual act within the broader unfolding of existence.

The interface between energy’s physical manifestation and the conceptual realm of consciousness is where turbulence and disturbance emerge. These disturbances, whether seen or unseen, shape our awareness and awaken our senses to new possibilities. The observer plays a crucial role in this process: just as Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle states that the observer influences the outcome of quantum events, so too does the act of perceiving energy in motion create new forms of coherence and meaning within the mind.

As energy flows through this process, disturbances manifest in symbolic forms. We interpret these energies, these "waves," by creating metaphors that map onto our lived experiences. These metaphors, once integrated, form a symbolic networka personal design system that maps the physical, emotional, and cognitive currents within our consciousness. This network is not simply a passive receiver of information but an active creator of meaning, a dynamic design constantly reshaped by experience. The symbols we create become the scaffolding through which we engage with the world.

Dualism, the notion of opposites or separations, lies at the heart of this process. The tension between conscious and unconscious, known and unknown, visible and invisible, creates the potential for creative expression. It is within this tension that innovation, inspiration, and creativity emerge. As energy in motion manifests through dualistic structures, such as light and dark or form and formlessness, it stimulates focus and intention, compelling the observer to explore, innovate, and design. This process of exploration and creation is not limited to the material world but extends into the realm of ideas, symbols, and metaphors.

In design theory, these principles can be seen as the foundation of user experience and cognitive interaction. The metaphors and symbols we employ to organize our environments, thoughts, and relationships are not merely tools for survival, but also for expression and transformation. By understanding the symbolic language that connects the visible and invisible aspects of our world, we can more effectively navigate the turbulence of change and direct our energies toward purposeful creation.

The quantum model further enriches our understanding of these processes by suggesting that patterns of coherence—much like waves—are not fixed but are constantly reconfiguring in response to internal and external forces. This ongoing flux mirrors the perpetual state of change within consciousness, which, like water, flows, evaporates, and reconfigures itself. It is this dynamic potential that gives rise to the emergent properties of the universe: order, chaos, complexity, and simplicity coexisting in a delicate balance.

Thus, the source of creation, from both a quantum and metaphysical perspective, lies in the eternal flow of energy, a constantly evolving interplay of potential and realization. Every moment of awareness, every thought, every feeling, is an interaction between these energetic waves, each contributing to the ongoing evolution of consciousness. In this way, the universe itself can be seen as a field of conscious awareness, where every frequency and every wave function is a manifestation of energy in motion—always changing, always evolving.

Ultimately, not all correspondences are made apparent, but together they form the structural foundation of existence. Each observation, each experience, contributes to the overall design of our shared universe. The invisible currents of consciousness—whether they manifest as thoughts, emotions, or symbolic representations—serve as the subtle but profound forces of change within this ever-changing ocean

Key Expansions:

1. Psychology: The interplay between conscious and unconscious mind is explored in terms of how energy in motion, through metaphor and symbol, affects our sense of self and identity. The unconscious influences perception, shaping both our psychic architecture and our personal design.

2. Semiotics: The use of symbols, signs, and metaphors is expanded as a fundamental process by which we interpret and interact with both the material and immaterial world. The "waves" of consciousness are metaphorically linked to the dynamic process of signification.

3. Design Theory: The idea of constructing a "personal network of energy" is linked to design, emphasizing how we create meaning through interaction with symbols, patterns, and metaphors, similar to a design process where form follows function. The symbolic language of consciousness becomes a tool for constructing our reality.

4. Metaphysics: The quantum concept of an ocean of potential is tied to the metaphysical nature of consciousness as fluid, emergent, and constantly changing. This interconnection between consciousness and energy suggests that all aspects of existence are dynamically interwoven and constantly shifting in response to internal and external factors. 5. Quantum Theory: The principles of quantum coherence, uncertainty, and potentiality are woven into the text to suggest that consciousness exists within a quantum ocean, where every state of being is possible but only realized upon observation.

This version retains the poetic nature of the original text while integrating key academic and theoretical insights into the nature of energy, consciousness, and design.

To be design conscious is to be able to both separate and unite.

An Aether Model of Electricity: The Missing Secret of Magnetism

Every quality attributed to water is of great symbolic and metaphysical importance. Consciousness has its own undercurrents. Consciousness describes an ever changing impulse engaged in the cyclical exploration every "probable potential".

The mysterious patterns of the unconscious rise to the surface by means of the subconscious. The mysterious patterns stemming from the unknown are made real by exercising a Design made accessible through signs, symbols, metaphor and analogy.

Consciousness and awareness are virtually one in the same.

A designer perceives, observes and measures every event and experience from a different POV.

To be design conscious you must be more than an observer. You will understand once it resonates with you.

Truth of the Matter

Conceptual impressions surrounding this post have yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument or network.

The truth of the matter is we each create a reality we’ve chosen to experience for ourselves. This reality is likewise comprised of others that together give rise to what we perceive/observe as the world. This is a world that includes and describes the Universe in a context and language of symbols/designs we personally experience and reflect upon. This concept is integral in understanding the meaning and purpose veiled in the act of design and creation.

Not everyone will resonate to your point of view or understand the language you use to communicate/observe your reality. This is key to understanding. Differences create the dynamic context required when expanding a reality you think, believe or feel to be true. Every event and experience guides you in your journey. Dualism creates the framework for the emergence and growth of consciousness.

We each live in a virtual reality of our own making. We choose to accept or reject the virtual reality of others for reasons felt by you alone, i.e. the perceiver/observer. You can either attract or reject that in which you become aware. You determine, prioritize and create the content and context of every aspect of your own reality. Likewise, we collectively determine, prioritize and co-create the content and context surrounding the planet. Both realities function in conjunction with each other in a design in search of balance through harmony.

“A decision is a commitment to a specific path (or plan). A choice is a possibility that we will consider based on its effectiveness, efficiency and whether we are willing to live with its consequences. The common denominator for our choices is consequences.

We make a decision when we look at all of our choices and choose the one that is the most practical and workable in that moment. We may think we decide based on the highest and best for ourselves and to some extent we do. But the common denominator for our decisions is also the consequences we are willing to live with. Acceptance is not tolerance.

Acceptance is acknowledging someone’s free will and their ability to choose what they want for themselves, no matter how ill advised or awkward we think it is.”

(my parenthesis)

What emerges as result of every situation also reveals the next step in the journey. Multi-dimensional in context, every step requires reconfiguration due to change. Change describes the unknown. Change also reveals both the context and content of the Universe, which is consciousness and Life, i.e. visualizations and ideas of a Virtually Designed Reality (VDR) of its own making. Enjoy the journey with the wisdom and understanding that you are a meaningful and purposeful participant/design created as part of the Life of the Universe. The Universe creates our context, the Earth our content and we as co-creators, its design.

Design Templates:

Conceptual impressions surrounding this post have yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument or network.

Design Template

Design functions within a quantum field of virtual potential (change<>energy).

Design is the symbolic and metaphoric language that harbors the transformation, transition and transmutation of energy, light and information.
transmutation | ˌtran(t)smyo͞oˈtāSHən, ˌtranzmyo͞oˈtāSHən | noun the action of changing or the state of being changed into another form: the transmutation of the political economy of the postwar years was complete. • Physics the changing of one element into another by radioactive decay, nuclear bombardment, or similar processes. • Biology, chiefly historical the conversion or transformation of one species into another. • the supposed alchemical process of changing base metals into gold.

Currently science is our most accurate design method used to observe, perceive and measure the universe. However, when observing and measuring light, energy and information we soon realize that every perception, observation and calculation can also be somewhat fuzzy around the edges (phi). All that appears to be “fuzzy” merely outlines the tolerances necessary for all systems of energy, light and information to function collectively and appropriately. All networks require frequent lubrication.
tolerance | ˈtäl(ə)rəns | noun     1 the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with: the tolerance of corruption | an advocate of religious tolerance.      2 the capacity to endure continued subjection to something, especially a drug, transplant, antigen, or environmental conditions, without adverse reaction: the desert camel shows the greatest tolerance to dehydration | various species of diatoms display different tolerances to acid | species were grouped according to pollution tolerance.       diminution in the body's response to a drug after continued use.      3 an allowable amount of variation of a specified quantity, especially in the dimensions of a machine or part: 250 parts in his cars were made to tolerances of one thousandth of an inch.

A field is made apparent (conscionable) by means of design.
field | fēld | noun       (the field) a place where a subject of scientific study or of artistic representation can be observed in its natural location or context.     2 a particular branch of study or sphere of activity or interest: we talked to professionals in various fields.       Linguistics & Psychology a general area of meaning within which individual words make particular distinctions    3 a space or range within which objects are visible from a particular viewpoint or through a piece of apparatus: the stars drift through this telescope's field of view. See also field of vision.     6 Physics the region in which a particular condition prevails, especially one in which a force or influence is effective regardless of the presence or absence of a material medium.      the force exerted or potentially exerted in a field: the variation in the strength of the field.   7 Mathematics a system subject to two binary operations analogous to those for the multiplication and addition of real numbers, and having similar commutative and distributive laws.
Design creates the symbolic and metaphoric link between all fields of energy in motion, i.e. change, within a QFVP.
symbolic | simˈbälik | adjective.    1 serving as a symbol: a repeating design symbolic of eternity.      significant purely in terms of what is being represented or implied: the release of the dissident was an important symbolic gesture.      2 involving the use of symbols or symbolism: the symbolic meaning of motifs and designs.
metaphor | ˈmedəˌfôr, ˈmedəˌfər | noun.  a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable: her poetry depends on suggestion and metaphor | “I had fallen through a trapdoor of depression,” said Mark, who was fond of theatrical metaphors.       a thing regarded as representative or symbolic of something else, especially something abstract: the amounts of money being lost by the company were enough to make it a metaphor for an industry that was teetering.
metaphoric adjective  characteristic of or relating to metaphor; figurative: many of our metaphorical expressionsdevelop from our perceptions of the body. The design triad (art/science/philosophy) creates an alchemical mix unique to consciousness.

Form

Design takes the form of a regular dodecahedron.

Ratio

Design strives for balance by means of proportion. Design describes the relationship between the macro and the micro. Design creates the symbolic and metaphoric link between the conscious and the unconscious. Design, i.e. meaning and purpose, lies veiled in the subconscious.
subconscious | səbˈkänSHəs | adjective of or concerning the part of the mind of which one is not fully aware but which influences one's actions and feelings: my subconscious fear. noun (one's/the subconscious) the subconscious part of the mind (not in technical use in psychoanalysis, where unconscious is preferred).

Path

The design path begins with opinion leading to facts, knowledge, understanding, intuition and continues in wisdom. This describes the linear course. Every step along the way becomes more integrated, cohesive and embracing and the perceiver/observer/designer more conscious. Upon entering the field of wisdom all forms of intelligence partake in a more expansive and comprehenisve concept of wholeness.

Design is both linear and conceptual in symbolic character and expression. Together they create the situation/context in which design consciousness can be learned, felt and revealed.

To be conscious is to be aware of yourself and your surroundings both subjectively and objectively.  Awareness includes the ability to perceive, participate and observe yourself both subjectively and objectively. Awareness and therefore consciousness, takes a quantum leap when the observer becomes a truthful witness to their own conscious awareness.

To be conscious is to be aware. To be aware is to be conscious. Consciousness is a reflection of awareness. Awareness is a reflection of consciousness. Awareness is a form of enlightenment.  Consciousness is light.

To design is to be meaningful and purposeful. Meaning is a reflection of purpose. Purpose is a reflection of meaning. Design is the language of conscious awareness.

Design creates the fulcrum about which both consciousness and awareness communicate energy, light and information with purpose and meaning.
